Puny Tunes
"the wee whistle"
The Puny Tune is a small four-holed musical instrument that was first designed in 1978 by Bryan Mumford. It is a modern day variant of the ancient clay vessel flute more commonly known as the ocarina, and it has been granted a U.S. design patent.
Puny Tunes have a unique fingering system, which is capable of producing an accurate thirteen note chromatic octave with only four fingerholes. Nominally pitched in the key of C, they are handcrafted from a highly engineered wood/plastic composite called DymondWood®, and each comes with a brass keychain lanyard, playing guide and protective case.
Simple to learn yet offering amazing musical possibilities, the pocket-sized Puny Tune is one of the world's most portable wind instruments.
