Puny Tunes
"the wee whistle"
The Puny Tune is a small four-holed musical instrument that was first invented in 1978 by Bryan Mumford. It is a modern variation of the ancient instruments classified as vessel flutes, and it has been granted a U.S. design patent.
Puny Tunes have an original fingering system, which is capable of producing an accurate thirteen note chromatic octave with only four fingerholes. Nominally pitched in the key of C, they are handcrafted from an engineered wood/plastic composite called DymondWood®, and each comes with a lanyard, playing guide and protective case.
Simple to learn yet offering amazing musical possibilities, the pocket-sized Puny Tune is one of the world's most portable wind instruments.
