Puny Tunes
"the wee whistle"
Although the Puny Tune is pitched in the key of C, I chose to transcribe the sheet music for my online tunebook in the keys of D and G. Many traditional tunes were originally composed for the fiddle, so sheet music having these two key signatures is abundantly available. Therefore, if you would like to have other musicians accompany you with concert pitch instruments, they will need to mentally transpose this sheet music one whole step lower than written to play along with you.
A special thank you goes to Ed Boudreaux for creating my Puny Tunes "the wee whistle" fingering tablature font, which I have conveniently written below each note of the musical transcription.

The MIDI files are digital representations of Puny Tune music (to conserve bandwidth), and are playable on all computers with a sound card. I have included them for musicians who play by ear.
